Family Room Lighting Tips

Generally in a home, the family room is the center of daily activities. In the space that you rest after work, watching television, and playing with children. You may not realize it, but the family room lighting will affect the atmosphere of the space. Family room should be brighter, warmer and more comfortable than the other room. Unfortunately, it takes more than a lamp or new furniture to produce these effects.

For that, the lighting of your living room does not have to be expensive. The trick is to align the elements in the room to brighten the room. This includes walls, carpets, furniture, knick-knacks and even small ones. Here are some simple tricks you can do for your living room.

1. Use natural light.
The best type of lighting for any space is the natural light from the sun. If you are lucky enough to have a large window, use it as a primary source of light for your home during the day. A kind of thin curtain with soft colors or frosted glass that is placed in the window will produce a calm soft light and warm. Combine it with yellow or cream-colored carpet then you will get a room a bright and warm.
2. Combine types of existing lighting.
There are two types of room lighting, which serves as a shaper of the atmosphere and the lighting. A good arrangement is to combine the two, especially when you have a multi-functional family room. Lighting a good atmosphere is to use a lamp that is placed on the walls than ordinary light is placed in the ceiling. Use lighting to areas that require good lighting such as reading areas, play areas, and areas to watch television. Be sure to align all areas.

3. Light up your favorite objects.
Do you have a favorite painting, a collection of antiques, or sculpture you want to show the people who visit your home? Strobe light (spotlight) is the right way to do it. Accessories are placed on the wall can be illuminated with small lights on the bottom of the wall or object from which to deal with these objects. Combine the spotlight with carpet to produce an instant focal point. Carpet that has a luxurious feel coupled with a strobe light will immediately attract the attention of people who visit your home.
4. Use a brightly colored cloth.
When lighting your living room depends on artificial lighting such as lamps, avoiding the dark as much as possible. Fabric with a bright and soft color will be very suitable for carpets, curtains and pillowcases, and a sofa in your living room. Limit the dark colors only as accents the room, and make sure they are aligned with the dominant color in that space.
That lighting tips for the family room, hopefully you can help develop the inspiration.
